Dogs are part of our families and as a dog owner myself I completely understand how nerve racking it might be when leaving your beloved dog in someone else’s care.

We will go out of our way to answer any questions or concerns that you may have and will do our very best to put your mind at rest – promise!

Below are some of the most common questions that we are asked:

Your dog will be staying in a loving home where your dog will be treated as one of the family!  Your dog’s normal routines will be maintained. We do not board dogs from other households. We want to offer you complete peace of mind.
Absolutely!

We do not accept a booking until you have first completed a ‘meet and greet’ with the carer along with your dog. This is to ensure that you are comfortable with the dog’s surroundings and all parties are happy. We can then discuss in further detail all your requirements with the carers.

You will need to take all your dog’s food, treats, bedding, toys, leads, and anything else that you think will make your dog feel more at home. It is very important that your dog continues with its normal diet during the boarding so please do ensure that you provide sufficient food for the duration of the stay.
Yes, your dog must have up to date vaccinations and have been wormed and treated for fleas.  Proof of vaccinations will be required and you will be asked to take the vaccination certificate to your meet and greet with the carer.
Our carers will discuss your dog’s normal routine at your meet and greet.  We do not walk dogs off lead

when boarding with us.  During their stay, your dog will wear a Best Buddies Home Boarding tag with their carer’s contact details.

We would endeavour to contact you or your emergency contact. On your booking form, we ask for an emergency contact and your vet’s details.

If your own vet is local to the carer then your dog will be taken to see them, in any other situation all carers are registered with their local vet and will seek veterinary attention if necessary.

You will be responsible for payment of any expenses incurred.
